I also have training in providing play therapy, mindfulness practices, collaborative problem solving, somatic therapy, and techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT).

What can I expect during the consult call?
This is a time for us to see if we would be a good fit. You can share with me why you are looking to start therapy and ask any questions about me. It is also a time for me to make sure that I can provide the type and amount of support that you will need from a therapist.
What does the first session look like?
Before your first appointment I will send over paperwork about my policies, laws that regulate therapists including how we protect your privacy, and some forms for me to get a more detailed picture of you and what changes you would like to make.
In the first session we will meet for 60-80 minutes so I can get to know you as a person and then talk more about what concerns you have and how they have looked during your life. We will also talk about what is going well and how to keep that going.
How long does therapy take?
Each session is about 45-50 minutes. I meet with clients weekly or every-other week depending on their needs and availability. Some clients might meet with me for a few months to make one change, and others might stay with me for years.
